Best of 2009: Trip

December 2nd, 2009 · No Comments

So I haven’t blogged in forever, which is strange because I:
a. have a lot to say
b. have been learning a ton about social media & should be a crazy blogger by now
c. have plenty of times to watch “so you think you can dance”, but not enough time for true writing
d. just haven’t had felt [...]

PORTLAND, OR?

September 30th, 2009 · No Comments

Well, I’m stuck in the world’s best airport. Literally voted the best airport, they indeed have some nice enticements. Reasonably priced wine, free wi-fi at a great speed (even deep in the bowels of a restaurant) and easy access. They’re also building a new terminal area which looks very snappy. However, when the traffic in [...]

CAYAMO!
I haven’t written about anything for awhile but I want to send my thanks to Laura for getting us a room on this cruise. I haven’t had so much fun in years!
Top of the list:

Snorkeling
Great musicians!
Blue water (so blue that I couldn’t get over it)
A giant boat with 10 restaurants
Snorkeling!

I have never seen coral in [...]

March 10th, 2009 · No Comments

So today’s blog post will be shorter than yesterdays — I promise. As I said, Ken and I went on a Cayamo Cruise — A Journey Through Song with a ton of folk, acoustic, country and pop rock artists. I found out about the cruise after getting an email from the Indigo Girls Fan Club [...]

The weird thing about vacations is that they are such a big part of your life for a while — you spend a ton of money, time, and spiritual energy planning for it. So when you return there is a little let down and you want to ramble on and on about it, but all [...]

home sweet home

Ken and I have arrived home late last night and immediately lost another hour of time, but we continue to spring forward. Without going into it all right now, since there are tons of little details to catch up with — not in the very least is that my dearest cousin had twin boys last [...]

Stuck in Houston

February 26th, 2009 · 1 Comment

Seattle had snow at 3am! We drove slowly through terrible road conditions and made it to the airport on time (with my brother Dave’s help!).
Then we spent 2 hours on the tarmac while the de-icing crew got their shit together and misted our plane.
Now we’re trying to get a stand by flight to get to [...]

Next week, Ken and I fly out to Miami to head out on the Cayamo Cruise. A week of music and cruising through the Virgin Islands. Below is our map of our itinerary. I’ve started making plans for excursions, looking for a place to get a spray tan, and buying a bikini. Sunshine here we [...]

Holidaze 2007 – Part II

January 5th, 2008 · No Comments

VTgirl and I had a great time in Rohobeth, Delaware, on New Years! We got in the day before, spent the day hanging out with her friends and chewing the fat in a beautiful rental house a few blocks from the beach. One of the best things about this trip was that I got to [...]
